HoT Slovenia first operator in EU to clarify data allowance

On June 15 2017 most of roaming limits will vanish within the EU. Depending on your monthly bill, European customers can use their phones also when travelling the EU.

You can read more about the rules and regulations here. So far, none of the operators in the EU has really commented on how they will implement the allowance deal. Exactly by EU demands? Or will they even offer better deals?

On May 10 2017 a new virtual mobile network operator (MVNO) startet in Slovenia: HoT.si. And this provider seems to be the first in the EU that gets the ball rolling by writing the exact data allowance amout on its website.

For the € 14,99 plan you can use 3,19 GB data within the EU. Important note: The plan includes 50 (!!) GB in Slovenia, but the international allowance is limited to 3,19GB. Why? Read our FAQs or calculate you effective EU allowance with our calculator.

Every operator has to inform (at latest June 14) its customers about their individual data allowance. So expect to get a SMS or a note on your bill from your provider soon.
